How often does electrical wiring need to be checked for safety?

Most homes should have electrical wiring checked once a year as part of an electrical safety evaluation. Our Absolute Family Plan includes a complimentary annual evaluation. During this visit, we inspect panels, test GFCI/AFCI protection, check outlets and switches, review whole-home wiring and surge protection, and verify smoke/CO detector placement. Homes 30+ years old often need closer panel assessment and may qualify for upgrade recommendations. We serve Northern Virginia communities like Alexandria and Ashburn.
