Can I fix my own light switch safely without an electrician?

You can replace a light switch yourself only if you can safely cut power and verify wiring, but many symptoms call for a licensed electrician. We inspect and repair outlets/switches, and provide guidance on GFCI/AFCI upgrades to reduce fire risk. Stop and call if you notice flickering lights, a burning odor, buzzing, sparking, or frequently tripped breakers. Our arc-fault services help prevent dangerous electrical fires.

Quick checks:

  • Turn off the correct breaker and confirm power is off with a tester.
  • If anything seems damaged or hot, stop and call.
